My Top Tips For Any Business Owner
Weekly recap and a little something extra for all of you business owners.
We’ve been full throttle for over two weeks and I need to take my foot off the pedal justtttt a little. Nothing good comes when you get run down and exhausted.
Vegas was, well, Vegas. I’m not a big Vegas fan but I am a fan of all the people I got to see, the new things I learned, dressing up, and of course our new product launch. Our limited edition Passion Fruit Collagen was expected to last for a couple of weeks but that didn’t happen…10 hours and it was GONE!! Hope you had the chance to grab yours. But if you didn’t you can still grab our top sellers, Pina Colada or unflavored.
A lot of you that subscribe to this blog are in Direct Sales or own your own business, so I thought I would give you some of my top tips to focus on when wanting to scale your business.
1.) Show up.
A weekly training, a conference, or even social media…..how do you expect to learn and grow if you’re not in the room with people who are where you want to be?
How do you expect for people to know you have a business if you never talk about it?
Rubbing shoulders, picking brains, collaborating, watching what other entrepreneurs do, how they act, what they say, their poise and posture…..all of this gives you the advantage. You can’t get to where you want to be by staying where you’re at.
For years you’ve heard, “You have to show up to go up.” And it still applies. Yes, it will cost you a little time away from family, it will cost you saving up to go, it will cost you sitting down and being intentional with your business, but it will pay you back dividends.
In my opinion, it’s not an option.
2.) Life is about networks and the only way you get into new networks is by talking to people. Ugh, I know. I’m the worst when it comes to having face to face conversations. It’s not awkward, I’m awkward.
But let’s talk about what you can do to get your business into new networks/markets. First, take care of your customers. Customer service is what will set apart you from everyone else. Don’t just think sell, sell, sell…think serve, serve, serve. Get to know your customer, their family, where they work, and build that relationship. Then when you ask them to share, refer or post…they’ll do it in a heartbeat.
3.) Invest in yourself.
If you want to know what will get you through the good times, the tough times, the unbearable times…..it’s you! Most importantly, your mental game and toughness. What you read and what you listen to will be the biggest asset.
I was never a book reader, like ever. Now I love reading, why? Because I’m not where I want to be in life or business. So I have to learn. I have to get better. I have to adjust, change, and adapt..and the only way to do that is to learn from others who have been through it.
If these were the only three things you did, you’d find success.
